Navigating the FAQ’s : A note on our product care 

The leather pieces we use have character, and that’s what we enjoy about working and creating with them. Although each item is described and photographed to the best of our ability.  Marks or natural imperfections could be on the leather, part of the leather and will fade over time as the leather darkens or lightens and ages. The older it becomes, the more beautiful it becomes.

How do I care for my leather bag ?

Take your elphile leather bag to a trusted shoemaker or a professional cleaner specializing in leather for the best cleaning results. Avoid exposing your bag to water and moisture.

About natural, undyed leather

Untreated “naked” leather enhances its natural beauty over time as it is exposed to natural light and handling. Due to the porous nature of this leather, it can be susceptible to staining and color transfer ; Avoid exposure to clothing or coats with black or dark color dye, liquids, oils and sunlight. Please handle with care.

About nubuck leather

The beauty of nubuck comes from its natural and naked finish. Therefore, it can be susceptible to water damage, staining and color transfer. Avoid exposure to clothing or coats with black or dark color dye, liquids, oils and sunlight. You may treat nubuck with a protectant to minimize these natural réactions and handle with care.

About silver, glittered, sparkled or gold leather

The leather used for our shiny sides of bags has a delicate surface and can sometimes be sensitive to creasing and scratching and color transfer. Please handle with care.

About hair-on leather

We make our Hair-On bags with real calf hair. Like any item made with natural hair, it is delicate and can be susceptible to subtle damage or thinning over time caused by friction during use. This is not a defect in the leather or production of the bag. Please handle with care.

 

SHOPPING ONLINE – SHIPPING

What credit cards does elphile accept ?

elphile accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express and Pay pal. elphile only charges sales tax on orders shipped within the state of TEXAS. Shipments to Texas include a 8,25% sales tax as the law requires it.

Your credit card is charged upon completion of your order. When you enter your credit card information on the final review page, we will give you an order confirmation number. You will also immediately receive an e-mail confirming that your order has been received.

All of our elphile items are made by hand in Houston and, in some cases, are made to order. On average, your order should ship within 2-3 business days. Every item comes minimally packaged with  paper silk and cotton drawstring bag perfect for gifting. We pack each box with the least amount of waste possible, whilst ensuring safe transit.

Adding monogram for your clutch will add an additional 2-3 business days to the processing time.

For all online orders, we will email you at the time of shipment with shipping confirmation and tracking information.

Please note for orders processed in July through mid August, please e mail Gwen at gwen@elphile.com for shipping delay information.

Shipping rates

Our shipping fees are based directly on UPS rates calculated by the weight of the item(s) purchased and the shipping destination zip code at the checkout.

Shipping options

Expedited shipping options are available online at the checkout for the lower 48 states only.

For expedited shipping options for Alaska, Hawaii, please contact us at  gwen@elphile.com for available options.

Shipping worldwide

Yes! elphile ships worldwide !  Total freight charges will be determined at checkout. International orders ship via First Class Mail and can take up to 3 weeks to deliver. elphile is not responsible for lost or damaged items in transit. International customers are responsible for all customs duties and import fees. Please email gwen@elphile.com with any overseas shipping questions/concerns.

EXCHANGE, RETURN & CANCELLATION

Online return Policy

We pride ourselves in making products of the highest quality materials with attention to detail. However, elphile wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you may return your purchase at your expense within 5 days for either a store credit or exchange. All returned merchandise must be unworn, unused, and in original condition to qualify for an exchange or store credit.

Additionally, sale, monogrammed, and personalized items are FINAL SALE, and they cannot be returned or exchanged.

elphile  has the right to refuse returns that do not meet these requirements.

You can return online purchases by mail for processing. Please allow 10-14 days for return processing, from the date of receipt.

How do I return an item ?

If you would like to exchange or return an item, please contact at gwen@elphile.com us with your order number  within 7 days of receiving the package.

We will send you an exchange/return authorization form that you must fill out and include in your package. We only accept orders with Return Authorization.

Then, ship the package back to us at the below address. Customers must ship back the items in the condition they received them, including the original tags and packaging.

Please note additional shipping charges may apply, and will be responsibility of the customer. Please ensure that you ship the item(s) through a traceable and/or insurable method. Elphile is not responsible for lost returned packages.

If for any reason, you change your mind, you may cancel your order anytime before it has shipped. Once we process and ship your order, you will receive tracking information via email. Once we ship the order, the Return Policy will apply.

Additionally, if you receive a damaged/defective or mis-shipped item, simply notify us by email gwen@elphile.com within 3 days of receiving the product and include a photograph of the damage incurred to be eligible for a return.

We will only accept returns not following the above policy at our discretion.
